This Policy applies to DataInlet self-service subscriptions, top-ups, Credits, cancellations, and refunds. It forms part of the DataInlet Terms of Service.

The Service is operated by Chang Wu, an individual operating DataInlet.

1. Plans and recurring subscriptions

DataInlet may offer recurring monthly subscription plans, including Plus and Pro, and may offer other plans or pricing in the future.

A recurring subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until it is cancelled. By starting a recurring subscription, Customer authorizes Paddle, DataInlet's authorized reseller and Merchant of Record, to charge the then-applicable recurring price and any applicable taxes in accordance with the checkout terms.

Published plan prices, included Credits, and features are those shown on the DataInlet pricing or checkout pages at the time of purchase.

2. Cancellation

Customer may cancel a self-service subscription at any time using the available billing-management flow or by contacting contact@datainlet.com if account access prevents self-service cancellation.

Unless DataInlet expressly states otherwise:

  • cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period;
  • Customer may continue using the subscription until that period ends;
  • cancellation does not retroactively refund the current billing period;
  • no prorated refund or credit is issued merely because Customer cancels before the end of a billing period.

3. Subscription changes

If DataInlet supports switching between plans, the timing, proration, or billing treatment shown in the billing flow at the time of the change controls.

A downgrade may take effect at the next renewal rather than immediately. An upgrade may take effect immediately and may result in a prorated charge if the billing system supports that behavior.

4. Monthly Credits

A DataInlet subscription may include a fixed allocation of Monthly Credits for each subscription period.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

  • Monthly Credits are issued at the beginning of the applicable subscription period;
  • unused Monthly Credits expire at the end of that subscription period;
  • expired Monthly Credits do not roll over to a later subscription period;
  • cancellation does not convert unused Monthly Credits into cash or a refund.

The number of Credits included in each plan is shown on the pricing page or checkout flow.

5. Top-up Credits

DataInlet may allow Customer to purchase additional Top-up Credits separately from a subscription.

Top-up Credits do not expire merely because the current subscription period ends. If a specific top-up offer has an additional expiration date or condition, that condition will be disclosed before purchase.

Unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise:

  • Credits are a contractual measure of permitted Service usage, not money, stored value, a bank deposit, or a security;
  • Credits cannot be redeemed for cash;
  • Credits are not transferable between unrelated customers or accounts;
  • promotional or complimentary Credits may have separate expiration or eligibility rules disclosed with the promotion.

6. Usage and balance corrections

DataInlet may deduct Credits when eligible Service usage occurs under the applicable usage-metering rules.

We may correct a Credit balance where there is a billing, metering, duplicate-grant, refund, reversal, fraud, or system error. We will not intentionally use corrections to retroactively change legitimate usage charges contrary to the pricing or usage rules that applied when the usage occurred.

A temporary small negative balance may be displayed if usage authorization, settlement, or correction timing creates that state. DataInlet may require Customer to add Credits or restore a positive balance before further paid usage.

7. Refund policy

Except where required by law or expressly stated in a specific offer, payments are non-refundable.

DataInlet may approve a refund or billing correction in circumstances such as:

  • a duplicate charge;
  • an incorrect amount charged because of a billing error;
  • a transaction that DataInlet or Paddle confirms should be reversed;
  • a material service or billing failure for which DataInlet voluntarily determines that a refund is appropriate;
  • another circumstance in which applicable law requires a refund.

DataInlet does not ordinarily provide refunds because Customer changed its mind, stopped using the Service, failed to use included Credits, forgot to cancel before renewal, or cancelled partway through a billing period.

A refund request does not guarantee approval.

8. Refund execution and Paddle

DataInlet uses Paddle as its authorized reseller and Merchant of Record for self-service purchases. The applicable Paddle entity identified at checkout is the seller of record for the payment transaction. Paddle processes the payment and executes approved refunds, reversals, and payment disputes through its systems.

DataInlet may approve or request a refund under this Policy, while Paddle executes the transaction-level refund and may also apply its buyer terms and mandatory legal obligations.

The checkout page identifies Paddle and any additional transaction terms that apply to the purchase.

9. Taxes and invoices

Prices may be exclusive of taxes unless the pricing or checkout page states otherwise. Paddle determines the final transaction amount at checkout, including applicable VAT, GST, sales tax, or similar taxes, and may issue the transaction invoice or receipt as Merchant of Record.

10. Chargebacks, disputes, and fraud

If Customer initiates a chargeback, payment dispute, or payment reversal, DataInlet may temporarily suspend the affected subscription or paid usage while the dispute is reviewed.

If a payment is reversed, DataInlet may revoke Credits or entitlements that were granted because of that payment, to the extent reasonably necessary to restore the account to the position it would have had if the payment had not completed.

Fraudulent payment activity or abuse of refund or chargeback processes may result in suspension or termination under the Terms of Service.

11. Account closure

Closing an account or terminating the Service does not create a right to cash redemption or refund of unused Credits unless required by law or expressly agreed in writing.

Customer should use or export any available information it wishes to retain before account deletion where the Service provides that functionality.

12. Price changes

DataInlet may change subscription prices, Credit allocations, or top-up pricing from time to time.

For an active recurring paid subscription, a material price increase will ordinarily be communicated at least 30 days before it applies, unless a shorter period is required by law, tax change, currency event, or Paddle requirement. A new price generally applies at a future renewal rather than retroactively to a completed billing period.

13. Promotional offers

Trials, coupons, promotional prices, complimentary Credits, partner offers, or marketplace promotions may be subject to additional eligibility, expiration, conversion, or redemption terms presented with the offer.

Unless stated otherwise, promotional value is not redeemable for cash.

14. Contact

For billing, cancellation, or refund questions, contact contact@datainlet.com or call +86 131 2100 9003.
